A historic 13th-century château, meticulously preserved, situated on the outskirts of Saint-Lô in Normandy, France. This remarkable property spans approximately 15,300 square meters, featuring a 500 square meter main building and a 1.5-hectare park. The château is conveniently located within 30 minutes of Caen, one hour from Granville, and two and a half hours from Paris. The château, constructed from schist rubble stone and adorned with slate roofs, boasts a long paved driveway lined with chestnut trees, leading to a wrought iron gate supported by solid schist pillars. The ground floor welcomes visitors with a stone-paved entrance hall, a large reception room with a stone fireplace, and an office housed within a round tower. Large windows provide unobstructed views of the Vire River and the surrounding valley. A stone spiral staircase ascends to the upper floors, while the kitchen features a monumental fireplace with a carved granite lintel. On the first floor, a spacious 59 square meter bedroom with high ceilings and small-paned wooden windows is complemented by four additional bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The second floor comprises three bedrooms, each with parquet flooring and cathedral ceilings, along with their respective bathrooms. The cellars, accessible from the kitchen, include a laundry room, boiler room, wine cellar, and toilets. The property also features a square tower, which serves as a tall pavilion with three levels, including an attic. This tower contains three bedrooms, with one designed for individuals with reduced mobility. An additional outbuilding, also constructed from schist, serves as a garage and includes a small storage extension. The chapel, fully restored in 2000, now serves as a concert and exhibition venue, featuring a frescoed interior and a renovated altar.
