A charming 13th and 17th-century fortified manor house with outbuildings, set within 5 hectares of grounds, located just 5 minutes from a renowned spa town in the north of the Gers department, France. This remarkable property, built in 1450, features a rich history and a picturesque setting atop a hill, surrounded by fields and overlooking a small valley where the Esquère stream meanders. The manor house, originally a municipal hospice in the 13th and 14th centuries, was inhabited by the family of Bishop Martin Gutteria de Pampelune from 1450. The main dwelling was significantly enlarged in the late 16th century, with the addition of a staircase tower in the 17th century. Its exterior showcases various types of stonework, geminated cross-windows, arrow slits, and murder holes, all meticulously preserved. The structure is supported by the hillside and comprises two storeys topped by a non-convertible attic, with a cellar beneath the oldest section. The estate includes several outbuildings forming a U-shaped configuration around the courtyard. An immense open-air covered structure is attached to one of the outbuildings, while a single-storey outbuilding, previously used for housing farm animals, has suffered fire damage. Additionally, a natural spring flows into a small pond, enhancing the estate's charm.
